Prehung Door Service

Dublin Millwork, Inc. is proud to offer a prehung door service, where the customer can order their doors as prehung units – ready to mount in door openings. The prehung door package includes the customer’s choice of door slab, jamb stock, door stop and hinges carefully assembled into a unit for quick installation in the opening. All prehung door units are manufactured to order and requires additional lead time for delivery.

Prehung Door Unit Specifications:

All prehung door units supplied by Dublin Millwork, Inc. are manufactured according to the following specifications:

  • Species & type of door selected by customer

  • 4 9/16” interior flat jamb, species selected by customer

  • Door stop applied to jamb stock, profile & species selected by customer

  • 3 each – 3 ½ inch hinge with ¼ inch radius corner, finish selected by customer

  • Hinge straps to protect hinges or other materials from damage in handling and delivery

  • Stay strap through lock bore to keep unit stable throughout the handling and installation processes

  • Boring Specifications

  • 2 3/8 inch backset

  • 2 1/8 inch crossbore

  • 1 inch edge bore for latch faceplate

  • 1" x 2 ¼ inch, with ¼" radius face prep

Please note: Double door units will be shipped K/D for final unit assembly on job – this is to minimize potential for damage that may occur in handling and delivery.

Single Door:  Left Hand Swing                                    Right Hand Swing

Double Door:  Left Hand Active                                   Right Hand Active

                        Where the term “active” means “bored for lockset”
